Game Chef Comp Begins

Despite not actually being all that good at game desing, I have entered the last 2 Game Chef challenges. I am now once again tempted. The goal is to write a complete playable RPG in 2 weeks, using 3 out of 4 indredients from either Camp A or Camp B below: Camp A...............Camp B MEMORY............SACRED DRUG.................ROSE PALACE...............THREAD CURRENCY..........INCONSISTENCY Details here

enjoyed your teen boy reminiscences. Could probably add one or two from the mother perspective - as I recall sleeping rated pretty highly and nocturnal pool use was good for one or two nights...?

I have lept fom the plane and survived - and i have the DVD to prove it! Flying helmets are teh ugly.

No leather WW1 flying ace helmets + goggles then?

I note that my post decries my ability at 'game desing'. I am also not great at 'game design', which clearly compounds my foolishness at wanting to enter the game chef comp.

Looking forward to seeing the sky-diving dvd!

You should totally enter. Your 'game design' skills are almost as awesome as your 'game desing' skills (I'm assuming that 'game desing' is like bad fake Italian for Singstar or something :-).

Actually the vague idea you had in the car on Sunday would probably work for the ingredients of Camp A. You could have buried memory and triggers which activate them being which then could add extra complications or additions to the missions. Players could know one of the other player's triggers but not what it would do and then activate triggers whenever they chose without knowing what it would add to the overall mission.

Hmm, I don't think I explained that very well. Might have to do so in one of those 'talking in person' type conversations for clarification...
