Through a plastic bag dimly
Further to Debbie's post, here are 2 examples of camera-in-plastic-bag photos. The camera survived well, and you can see how much fun Dom was having :-)

lovely shots - and one very fit Debbie with the Dom lifting workout. :). The word verifier is gasted as in flabber,there seem to be many more make sense words than there used to be.
And a water proof camera would be great but well done on the problem solving in the meantime. :)
Dom doesn't appear to be the only one having fun :) I'm looking forward to showing Sweets the fun of the ocean!

Sorry I didn't make your BBQ on the 2nd. I had a migraine on the 1st, and felt pretty washed out on the 2nd.
Does migraine = New Year's hangover? :-) It's OK to admit it, Jon. We were young once too (although we were both asleep before 10pm on New Year's eve ourselves).
And we were awake again at 12.10am due to a certain toddler stirring loudly enough to rouse us (though not actually waking up)
Alas no. I only had 2 beers on NYE. It was a for real migraine. Stink as.
