Advice from Dream Nick

(as the King) "A lord should sleep with his wife four times a day, behind the backs of his mistresses, so his evenings are free for adventuring!" EDIT: From the comments, Debbie explains: How strange to find my dream quoted on Matt's blog. I'm not sure if it makes it more or less strange if I explain further. I'm putting this down to reading too much historical fiction and fantasy, and also being woken up in the wee hours of the morn by Dom so that I actually remember my weird dreams and then tell Matt about them. The dream was set in a quasi-fantasy Tudor kingdom that seemed to run largely on shagging (hat tip to Phillippa Greggory) and dark turnip magic (OK, I have no idea where that came from). Lots of people were disappearing from their homes with no trace left but a carved turnip effigy on the window frames. Witches used other larger turnips to control them as zombie-slaves. Later the bodies would show up all shrivelled like dried up turnips. It was actually really creepy. King Nick was trying to rally his knights (of whom Matt was one) to seek out the turnip witches and defeat them and their turnip zombie hordes. The knights complained that they were too busy and tired with their mistresses and wives to go out hunting turnip witches. Hence his advice. Yep, weird.

Good King Nick! Long shall he reign, with his adventuring spirit and many petulant mistresses! Huzzah!
