Head lifting

Debbie takes the credit for this rather awesome shot of what is, I think, Dominic's longest and most vertical head lift so far!

Also, British comedy series 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' is really, really cool. It's a fun sketch show in the tradition of Alas Smith and Jones, with some great recurring characters. Well recommended (though we only have 4 episodes so far (of 6) - damn data cap!).

He's not growing into his hands in a hurry is he? So adorable.

Are they supposed to be able to do that much at 4 weeks?

Ok, I have too much time on my hands. The Treasures website lists "He will also begin to learn to take weight on his forearms with his head upright when he lies on his tummy" as a 4 MONTH milestone. Go Dom!

He's certainly a strong little guy. Last night he caused us some trouble by stretching himself out to full length in his baby bath, with his feet touching one end and his head touching the other. He only held it for a second, but we couldn't move him while he'd locked himself in position (and from the noise he made it sounded like he was giving himself a bit of a headache).

This particular photo was a lucky one - he lifted his head as I was putting him down, so was already in position when he hit the mat. He can hold his head up pretty well, but is still working on his lifting muscles :-)

Actually he did doing most of the lifting work himself, his head was only a little way off the ground when he was put down then he lifted it up the rest of the way.

He has very strong lifting his head up/back muscles. Unfortunately he doesn't have very good control of lowering his head down again and has face planted into people's shoulders and the ground a couple of times.
